Leading from the inside out
Many view leadership as isolating, lonely, and all engrossing. Leaders often feel solely responsible for the organization's success and that they have little time for family and friends. Others may be subject matter experts – technicians of undeniable skill – but their extensive education and expertise did not give them the people skills to be effective in today’s highly diverse, highly competitive, and often chaotic workplace.
